Northeast Indiana
Saw a presentation where a guy was doing some trial plots on high yielding soybeans. The beans planted at 3" depth were very impressive. Being planted deeper causes the plant to self express its natural PGR's. The extra depth caused the plant to branch out better during early growth, and helped deter apical dominance of the main stem, causing much better podding of the additional branches.
