Grandview, TX | Someone gave me a couple acres worth of seedless watermelon transplants and we picked them up today. They’re about 45 days old. I’m thinking these transplants might be root bound and taller than desired. Would it be wise to bury them deeper and tear apart the base of the roots or will they never grow off right since they’re this large ?
This is a small project my son wanted to try. I just don’t want to do all this work when it might not end up well. Plan B would be to just plant some seeded varieties.
