Southwestern Minnesota | It would surely be easier if it was as easy as eat less and move more. That campaign was actually called Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less. It originated at North Carolina State in 2007 as an online weight management program to help clients learn to eat healthier and increase their physical activity. It was shared more widely and the goal was to use it as a resource for worksite programs and for individuals to access as a distance technology to improve their eating habits and physical activity. That was a rather novel approach at the time.
Eating more to lose weight does sound counter-intuitive. But if you eat so little so as to slow your metabolism, then somehow you need to get your metabolism back to normal and that isn't something that happens overnight. | |
