Saronville NE | In owning 7 JD balers and close to 100k bales thru those I've never had to do a PTO driveshaft. Yesterday on 560m. It literally pulled apart. Where shaft goes into back side of front knuckles basically is pressed together way it looks it separated. Baler has 8k bakes on it.
Luckily JD had a new complete shaft on hand with big 1000 end. Said this was 3rd shaft this week on 560m they had sold.
The new is way smaller drive line then the 535-569 they used.
Complete driveshaft from slip clutch forward was $2100. Just front half is $2800. Makes no sense but rain coming need to go now not couple days later when welding shop could rebuild shaft. | |
