I will repeat what I said above: EVs are not for everyone nor every location or driving situation. However I would suggest that many if not most couples living in a house with a garage have two vehicles. What makes sense for us is to have one smaller EV for most driving and one larger ICE for pulling our fishing boat or carrying more people when the grandkids are here or for longer trips, like to the MN Boundary Waters where it will be a few years before public charging infrastructure is as common as gas stations. As far as affordability goes, $28,000 is not bad compared to other new daily driving vehicles on the market in the USA right now.
