What model? the manual should list acceptable tire combinations, then you get into replacing one worn set and the others are full tread which changes the diameter also. Typically the front axle is set to drive faster than the rear, for steering, so evening them out isn't as bad as making the difference bigger. If you never drive on pavement it's different than if you do.
