WC IL | Have never run out of fuel in many millions of miles of driving. Have helped numerous people who have. The same type people who would totally discharge the battery on an EV.
Not much hassle to fuel an ICE vehicle. Pull up to the pump, swipe card, put nozzle in tank, wait a couple minutes, hang up hose and go.
IMHO, the jury is still out on cost of ownership. Lots of electronics on an EV, and what is the most common complaint on vehicles and equipment? Yep, electronic failures.
I have a remote start if I want a warm or cool vehicle when I get in it, so that's a wash. Truck has started at -15 without being plugged in, no battery warmer running all night.
An electric vehicle doesn't fit for me. If others want them, more power to them
