north central Ohio | We have done some grid sampling and spreading and honestly I think it is a waste of resources. I would just do removal rates and make sure your pH is in the 6-7 range and move on . It is hard to explain it all on here but we started grid testing 20 years ago and have given up on it. If you don't have yield monitor in your combine that is where I would start. It really helps to track yield between varieties and different fertility practices and so forth. If you want to see something interesting go pull 4 samples in a 10'x10' area and see how even the soil test results come back. | |
