It has been several years since we been there. I think we should stop in again on our next trip to Arizona in November. 

Yes I remember a museum that had a bunch of information on the impact and results.

If you go to the link I provided above and click on the "Atractions" buttons  you can see they have a museum and a theater. 

Like I said, well worth the visit. Plan to spend several hours there. There are also walkways outside to view the crater and as I recall I think hiking trails (we did not hike).
