How many watt is your generator? You'll also want to look up what spec it has for Total Harmonic Distortion. Typically if they're the desirable 5% or less they'll be advertised as such and maybe a touch more expensive because of that. The intelligent charger can connect to 2 batteries but will still only charge one at a time. You really don't have a good way of knowing when it switches unless you're physically watching the status lights, so it's handy having the second connected all the time. With the DJI generator, you will hear it unload and idle down when the battery is charged. Not real handy if you're having to move around away from the generator, or have it on a different level of a trailer or something. Otherwise it's not a big deal at all to swap when you hear it idle down. Some other reviews said the DJI is loud. We had it running next to a Westinghouse 10500 watt model and the DJI was noticeably quieter. Not a ton, but noticeable. Another neat feature is the DJI doesn't have its own battery or, I'm assuming, a starter. It uses the intelligent battery to start, again assuming, through the generator. One less thing to maintain and go wrong. Only issue I could see is getting caught with your pants down and having all the batteries too low to start the generator.
