The castings and steel used to be top notch. Now they are junky.
I came across this while cleaning up today.
Here is an example. These cylinders mount in pairs to raise/lower a seed bed tool. This is how worn the ends are after appx 1500 raise/lower cycles. They used to easily last 5x as long.




Your seed bed tools are the same width and heft as in the past or are they bigger / heavier/ beefier pulled with a much higher HP tractor at faster speeds?
