Your receivers don't automatically connect, you enter in the frequency and station ID that you set your base to transmit on. FCC license required to broadcast in the 450mhz band. I hired a frequency coordinator to get me an fcc license, as well as a high gain antenna, lightning arrestor, advice, instructions, and a projected coverage map based on my topography and antenna height. All said and done, it'll take me 3.5 years to break even vs. my dealer's rtk network subscription, and I have much better signal strength.

Unless.....you have Deere and use Operations center to automatically switch bases (if you are on a dealer network or have more than one in your personal network)

This might take a little more explaining. 2-3 years ago Deere made an update where RTK tower codes could be saved to operations center and then inside operation center associated with each individual field. After updating compatible screens when a new field is selected the RTK globe on the machine changes codes automatically.
