73036 | Their is differences in them. Also different depending on short axle or long axle. Some 2390's had a very slim shoulder to hold the outside tapered bearing in place on the axle. I have seen one, that the shoulder broke, which then let the bearing slide out. This then, destroyed the planetary gears, as the axle was no longer tight. We replaced it with a 2590 axle and planetary. The 25 had a much wider shoulder to hold the bearing in place. I assume the shoulder must have been broken with a heavy 3pt load on it, when it maybe hit a big ditch. As the tapered bearing would then try to push outward. This is just my best guess. But the 23 had a extremely narrow band. I don't remember if it was the long or short axle. I don't think this was a common problem, but if i where going to carry anything heavy on the 3pt. , I would definitely get one that has the wider shouldered axle. As i recall, you can visually see the difference, in the picture, on the parts book. I don't know anything about the newer ones.
