$10 says Deere didn't cast that. They bought a complete cylinder from a third party that came in with the low bid...

Agreed JD didn't cast that, but I'll bet you another $10 that Caterpillar castings are superior to Deere.


Superior might be a stretch. Definitely equal. Deere engine block casting is slightly better in my opinion, but only because they are heavier for their displacement.
