If you want to keep your Sensaphone, and are on Verizon, you can put in a box they call Verizon home or something like that. It basically is a phone jack for cellular service. $10/month added to your plan. I actually have one you can have for a few bucks + shipping. It was put into a nursery for a few months then we switched to Barntalk.
If you want more that just an alarm, look into Barntalk. You can check conditions anytime on your phone, see a couple week history on your phone, and further thru an online portal. You can do a lot with the system. They've had a few glitches being a relatively new company, but their customer service is very good.
How much you want for it? I'm not to far from you. I have a dedicated land line to my barn that cost over $40/ month. Always thought that's way to much for the few calls it makes per year. |
