Southern Indiana | We really like fenceline weaning and would never go back to weaning with a truck. Woven wire with hot wire on calf side.
We worked and weaned last Friday and cows were done Mon and calves were quiet by Tues night. Calves got vaxxed, Ivermec pour on, multi min, and steers ralgro. Calves will get about 1# grain per 100# weight and all the good hay they want.
Can't remember the last time had one sick at weaning.
