Thumb of Michigan | Fenceline wean here, Ferapease used sometimes, calves were used to creep feeder and never dropped off of feed, 24 hours moms were leaving to go graze, Calves were eating from day one. 48 hours, bawling (mostly moms) was on the downhill side, day 3 basically all done.
I use a catch pen, where the calves and mom can touch noses between the boards, if that matters. | |
