Around here, under 600, they dock the crap out of them. The dock seems to be less in the dead of winter and more the rest of the time. Over 600.it seems to be only .20 back, currently.
I'd buy pop eyed 500# calves. Fix the pop and feed an one eyed calf. Easy enough to communicate to a buyer.
