East of Broken Bow | Good luck fenceline weaning here, as well, but don't have feed/water for the cows real close by. Ours are on cornstalks about 1/2 mile away for feed, but are free to move back and forth between the cornfield and the calf pen. The cows bawl a bit, get hungry and go eat. I don't think the calves bawl much longer than when we had the cows a long way off, and if the calves break out, at least they are just back with the cows and not scattered all over creation. | |
