Subject: RE: Impeller MoCo

North central TX
We have one of both. We bale mostly light stemmed grasses like Bermuda and the occasional blue stem or other native grass that may be interspersed. The impeller machine has far and away more acres of use and much of it trouble free. Never have lost a rear window to rocks, thats what the guards and drapes are for. Our roller machine has been kind of a pita, and it takes more power to run. Its eaten enough random rocks and sticks that it has cost a decent amount there too. Dad ran over a peice of 2" oilfield pipe one year and sucked it through the rollers. That was a BIG mess. Have seen the same done with an impeller machine and you can back right off that thing, fix your blades and be back to running in an hour or less.
That's probably the main reason he doesn't do any custom work.anymore. the repairs of running over somebody else's junk can eat you alive.
