Every time a tree or branch falls on the ht fence you'd cut it or lift it off the fence and move on with life. With that fence you'll cut it off and have a bunch of stretched or broken wire to spend a.few hours fixing.
I have no idea how long this tree has been on the fence but the cows never got out. With electric it would of been shorted out and cows out in no time. +1 to the 5 barb!
Working on a down tree on an electric fence when planting, spraying or harvesting is not on my to do list. This tree removal on the 5 barb is on the to do list when we can find the time. Would take the same amount of time to remove the tree wether it's HT or barb. Tightening the wires shouldn't take an hour.
