Subject: RE: Writing the rules for solar "farms", asked to participate

Franklinton, LA
Washington Parish went through this a few years back. I am not sure what they ended up with for regulations. For some reason the LSU Board of Trustees has leased the Southeast Research Station Farm to a solar farm operator. It would be interesting to visit with some people in the area to see how they feel about the farm.

My big concern is what happens to the panels when you get hit by a big hurricane. I don't think you want pieces of solar panels flying through the air during a hurricane. Also, I hope they have regulations that require the operator to clean up the mess after a hurricane and remove the equipment when the farm eventually shuts down.

What happens to the farm when the Government changes the regulations, cuts off the money or someone develops better technology that makes the farm obsolete?
