56676 | Had a couple 1000 pounders at a different pasture for butchering this winter. Gentle, friendly fellas and it was time to bring them home. They get grain by bucket every day. Figured we'd park the livestock trailer down there, give em grain in that, and maybe by Sunday they'll walk in and we can shut the door on em. If it doesn't work, we go get the panels and pen em up.
Parked the rig, opened the back door. Wife took their bunk in the trailer and put the grain in it. Silly things hopped into the trailer and started eating. Shut the door and off we went! I imagine they were probably still eating going down the road.
Sometimes things work out. : ) | |
