You didn't tell us your breed composition in your heifers. Using more terminal based bulls? Many would accuse me of doing it wrong, but I always study the dams and granddams to see if they lead long progeny filled lives. And don't forget to look at the top side of the pedigree to see if the dam there is an actual good cow and not just terminal themselves
These are straight black Angus and have been for 35 years. We select for moderate frame with lots of capacity. I like broody looking Angus mommas. |
