if you don't pay it or get it cleaned up the state of ks will put out a warrant for your arrest and then down the road, 5 to 10 years or whenever, and your in Kansas a get pulled over for a traffic violation the outstanding warrant will flash up and you'll be hauled off
I dont know about turnpike tickets. But this can definitely happen with police issued tickets. Friend got a ticket in his late teens, dont remember details but not even a moving violation in IL so didn't have to sit through re-education camp to get the ticket removed from his driving record. Few years go by, early 20s now, applies for a job in TX and employer conducts background check. "Everything looks good Mr. X, except you have had an outstanding warrant". Turns out an employee at IL dept. of something redundant had not applied his mailed check properly (which IL had cashed...) and he would have been arrested at any traffic stop. |
