Thanks Gregor.

Thanks everyone that responded. Shop is certain that something internal went because of no response to either. Wanted to know if I wanted them to still do compression test and I do. Heavy rains today so I took off and we are scheduled for Monday.

My teammate said no way does he think this is more than fuel issue and then we need to figure out why it is overheating: thermostats/pump. I hope he is right. He keeps going on that it is "clean" smoke and nothing really more than a starting problem we always had. My hang up we did not get any response to the either. His reply is he was just babying it to see if it would fire. He says in almost started then I went into PM mode and changed all filters, drain line, etc. He is correct on that. I figured when we started checking lines we might as well change filters. I was planning on letting it warm up, see if thermostats fixed problem, then back in change oil etc. He thinks we still have too much air (foam) going into injectors and that is why it will not fire.

I think I am going to get some JD either. We are using cheap stuff. I think I will let him crank while I am back in engine compartment. We will have a good look at when we are fresh looking to start it instead of leaving day job early with plans to warm up and watch temp gauge. This kind of blindsided us. No matter I will have them come and look at on Monday. Thanks all for replies and I will update when I find out more.
