Yes, it would work fine. Add an ez-boom and you can run a sprayer. Ez-boom is a drop in replacement for many raven controllers, eg raven 440. I ran that combo on rtk for many years. With a little work, ez boom can also run planter clutches, though I never did that. I also used a Trimble joystick to be able to operate the ez guide 500 a little easier since often the mounting of the 500 is a bit of a reach.

Yes, quite out of date and compared to modern systems, a little cumbersome to operate, but does a lot for not a lot of money. I’ve switched to an ag leader incommand 1200. It’s very nice, but not cheap at all! I ended up switching as I picked up an electric drive planter for a good price.

I have the entire ez guide 500 (rtk unlocked), ez boom, ez-steer, Trimble joystick, antenna, and cables still in a box from taking it out of my planting/sprayer tractor this past spring. If interested in that route, drop me an email.

Since it looks like you are in Ohio, you can run on the state’s CORS network to get rtk corrections.
