NENE | I'm running a new propane line for a tube heater in my shop. I want to run a pipe on the outside of the building with a second stage regulator on top where it enters the building. I don't want to enter at the bottom because of interference inside. I would like that pipe to be galvanized for rust protection but am getting conflicting advice on using galvanized pipe with propane. It would not be in the ground, only up the side of the building. Another pipe will go from the regulator through the wall and follow the roof to the heater. That one could be black or galvanized. Some mention galvanizing flaking off others unnecessary expense but the added cost is miniscule. Others say it is fine to use. | |
