| after the summer hibernation, my log splitter now does not return to neutral when in auto return.
It just pulls the engine down, and I'm assuming it's going full safety bypass.
I took the end cap off the detent adjuster, and there was a little moisture and rust inside it.
Sprayed some penetrating oil on it, and seemed to free up the forward/reverse motion, but didn't change the lack of kick-out. Ill try turning the adjuster screw in and out a little next. Maybe there's some corrosion on the spool that's knotted it up. Anyway, it's a cheapo chinese valve that's probably a throw away component. If I get another valve, how do I 'size' it? My splitter is 14 gpm, 2 stage pump. I've seen similar valves for sale rated at 30 gpm, and some at 20, others at 15. this is the valve currently on the splitter
