Subject: RE: partial tap and die set

Middle of the middle west
It's been several years ago, but I got a large metric and standard set from Irwin. They were $300 dollars apiece at the rime I bought them. I have no complaints with them. I don't even know if they still offer them.

Off hand I can't remember what exact sizes they have in them. My regular set goes to 1/2" and each of the big set go three or four sizes larger with course and fine; taps and dies. I keep them on the service truck and have saved my butt more than once. I did have to add a die for 600 series Deere cornhead shafts recently, but that is the only one I've had to add that I remember.
