| We learned in Ag. class in 1979 to never use galvanized for natural gas or LP, could not remember exactly why, here is what I got when I googled it:
Why can't galvanized pipe be used for gas?
Any Sulphur in the gas can react with the zinc coating in galvanized pipe, causing it to flake off. Because these flakes can clog the small openings in gas-burning appliances, some codes have prohibited the use of galvanized and copper pipes for gas lines.Mar 14, 2022 | |
