Argyle, MN
You will be able to haul at least 100 bushels more with the hopper bottom than the end dump. Our end dumps are 34', full framed, steel box and full frame, tandem axle. The tractor/trailers weigh around 33,300 pounds empty. Our hopper bottom is a 42' aluminum tandem axle, tractor/trailer weigh 26,800. The wet kit and oil tank is still on the tractor with that weight.

We have never tipped a trailer over and run 5 of them. I know of 2 that have tipped, one with and clay one with gravel in them. There are lots of end dumps hauling around here.
