I bought a 7 shank deere 915 for that job. I wound up having to do away with the trip mechanism as it tripped way too easy on roots. I tied up 6 of the 7 shanks then stuck the end one as far into the trees as I could. Find out next year if it helped, sure can't hurt much besides tile
