With the engine running check the voltage at the battery and also at the dash (the cab solenoid under the left hand cowl).  My harness had a bad connection where the heavy wire from the alternator to the battery teed to the wire going up to the solenoid under the left cowl.  The bad splice in the harness was on the left side of the engine just above the engine oil cooler.
