Gleaner still has a class 6, same simple layout as the R62 but with many improvements. Probably the most American made class 6 on the market currently.

Only platform design that would easily support a mechanical engine swap looking even further further down the road for if/ when electronics start failing decades from now. Simple Warner electro-magnetic clutches for machine engagement that can be ran with toggle switches if necessary.

All that said, people need to get down and dirty and fix what they have if they are that concerned. R62, 2188, 9600, etc. are all 10,000 hour machines if you stick with the upkeep.that is the problem, people give up on upkeep long before the machine is wore out.
