I guess I'm one of the few who hasn't rolled no-till beans in the corn stalks, but I usually pick low with the corn head and the CIH 1063 chews them up pretty good. The stumps aren't much taller than if it got cut with a silage chopper head. I suppose the rock dam on the header keeps the majority of the bits out as well, very little actually makes it in.

Rolling them might help the header ride better and push down some stuff like the stray root ball the planter pulls up.
