I only worry about the cost of an engine rebuild. Everything else is no big deal. Look at the price of used 40' drapers vs 30' and 35'. And 9250s and 8250s vs smaller machines. I'll run a big boy machine and not look back. We'll be upgrading from the old geezer 2188 before too long. People retire and there are acres to pick up. Our farmer numbers are dwindling...but I do see plenty of younger farmers in the area to keep everything going.

Like others are saying, I just saw two younger farmers start working together on corn planting and all harvest. It makes a lot of sense. There are a lot of single person operations around here. Tough go at harvest that way.
