Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana		If I were betting, I'd bet the same gears fit the 1688 and the 2188.

I was always told the 1688 and the 2188 were the same machine with a cab update, that is why the 1688 had such a short production run.

As the other poster said, go to the CIH or Messic website and check to be sure.
