What are the disadvantages of a short tail excavator? In particular a 25 ton komatsu. It would be nice in close quarters but is it an acceptable option out in the field cleaning out waterways and tearing up trees. It looks like everything in the engine compartment is packed in really tight. I suppose the balance might not be as good.
