Subject: RE: Used combines twenty years from now?

I feel like I have been hearing this for as long as I have been around.

The depreciation will be a lot steeper on the big machines. The secondary market can only sustain a certain price, no matter how big the combine is.

And only putting 1,000 acres a year on a class 8 or 9 machine should last a long time.

I heard the same thing when the 8010 came out. How many mid-size to even smallish farmers are running a class 8 machine now?
