South Central MN | This year in poor crop was having terrible losses. Could not get corn off spongy cobs without grinding it off or splitting cobs. Finally went from 6 to 8 mph and it did wonders.
Noticed the same thing when we first bought the combine. We'd been picking corn from 2.4-3mph with a 9510. We figured going to 4.5 with the lexion felt like we were flying but had horrible sample. Finally sped up to 6-7 and sample instantly improved. Maybe it's brand specific. A 585 is the narrow body machine. A 595 would have bigger components.
In our experience, keeping it full to keep it happy is certainly not a myth for a lexion. | |
