Central Minnesota | Unless you can get them into a small section of the pasture I wouldn’t do it, they’ll just wreck your whole pasture chasing all the new growth. I’m guessing you may still have frost coming out of the ground where you’re at in early April?
What kind of grass do you have there? If it’s cool season like smooth bromegrass I would put them out at the three leaf stage but only if there’s some old stuff still out there or put out a few bales of grass hay to help their stomachs adjust. I don’t have any experience with warm season grass here.
