![](http://www.newagtalk.com/mapdots/johnburns.jpg) Pittsburg, Kansas | Me being diabetic for many years, he is one of my diabetes heros. I have learned more about my disease and how to manage it from him more than any single other person. Any diabetic, type I or type II, needs to be familiar with Bikman's insulin research.

I learned some of this information first hand over a period of about 25 years. My first insulin injection was 3 units once a day. At the end I was taking two different kinds of insulin in 4 different shots totaling 100 units a day. I was insulin resistant making my resistance worse by taking insulin injections even though my blood insulin levels had to already be through the roof.
It was only when I quit listening to conventional medical wisdom and started doing a low carb diet did my insulin resistance improve and I got off insulin shots. I treated the rood cause of the disease (excessive carbohydrate consumption leading to the insulin resistance and high blood sugar at diabetic levels) by not eating food that caused my pancreas to put out insulin while also not providing the blood glucose rise because I was not eating foods that raise glucose. Win win. Got off insulin shots and diabetic medicine. Have better blood glucose control than when on the medications. Plus brought blood pressure back to normal without the medication I had been taking for hypertension.
Unbelievable I know. I would not have believed it had I not experienced it myself. I can understand why people can not see why it really is that simple. Definitely NOT what we are taught by mainstream medical or nutritional officialdom.
