West Central Illinois | I rotate paddocks all year round even the 3 months I'm feeding hay in winter. When you get to that weird time in March/early April where grass is green but not there yet you need to hold them up into a paddock or 2 for that time so rest of farms can get going. Then those paddocks that got grabbed down in early spring need to have the longest rest possible til cattle are back to it. For me that's around 60 days maybe a few more
This is fescue with other cool season grasses in the mix so take that with a grain of salt | |
