Gladly pay more to have legal workers doing the job.

No you wouldn’t. You need them cheap workers to get that fancy shed and bins put up as fast as possible and cheap as possible. You think things are high now. I can hear it already oh we can’t find cheap workers so we have to hire more expensive workers so my bid is 20% higher now. Don’t kid yourself.

Another aspect to consider is the effect that cutting out all of the grift that has been happening will result in the government needing less taxes to operate. Less taxes required can translates into less money spent on taxes which can translate into the ability to keep a larger portion of your pay check, meaning higher standard of living on the same wage, as well as the companies being able to put their profits towards paying higher wages instead of taxes.

Like Redoak said, we need to look at the bigger picture.

On that note, some here are wondering who will fill the job vacancies left by removing illegal workers. It appears lots of government employees will be looking for jobs in the near future so there will be a supply of extra workers. Yes it will be a step down for them but many of them are fighting for the rights for illegals to work in those high labour/low pay conditions. It is common to hear how people today don’t want to work so I hope they lump any government worker unwilling to fill the vacant positions just as lazy.
