East Central South Dakota
Boone three things just for the sake of conversation. According to AI google

According to recent data from the USDA, the United States loses approximately 1.9 million acres of farmland to development every year, with this figure representing the loss in 2022 alone; translating to roughly 4.3 acres lost every minute. These solar fields will accelerate these figures greatly and at a fast rate if that industry continues.

Take the RFS to e-15. to absorb extra bushels. Ethanol to me lately is becoming a national security issue also. The first thing Russia and Ukraine tried to do and are still doing is bombing oil refineries. Every ethanol plant we have is a mini oil refinery and most of that production is deep in the interior of the United States----not on the easy to reach coasts.

Thirdly, I think we keep the continuous sign-up practices. Most involve water is some shape or form and have pretty big environmental scores. According to available data, around 20-25% of CRP acres are currently enrolled through continuous signups, with the majority of CRP acres still coming from general signups; however, the exact percentage can vary depending on recent enrollment trends and updates from the USDA. The big general signups can go away in my opinion. The arguments of rural decay caused by CRP are just silly with no correlation to causation whatsoever. Going to be a cold week for you if you come west to the hills. Trails have deteriorated a little bit.
