Minnesota | I don't have a number for you, but with vDrive and individual row control on RTK my seed use will be nearly dead on for what I calculated is needed for the acres planted. The bigger benefit (for me) is not taking a hit on the double planted areas if you have angled end rows or curved field borders. We've seen huge benefits here. It also makes combining much easier. There are benefits even on square fields -- you can be more efficient turning around since you can just drop the planter down and let it turn on in the right spot and raise it up after it stops planting.
You don't give any info on your planter, but Precision Planting seems to have a retrofit for most makes/models of planters. The install is not hard and calibration is very straightforward. There are certainly other companies with good products, too.
