Subject: What’s wrong with my 2206 corn head?

Logan County Ohio
Row 6 has been giving us fits keeping the outside snapping roll on, we have changed the rolls and shafts out of gear box and installed the PIP for this row with no luck. We tore into it the other day and the shafts are aligned 90* off like the dealer told us but the backs of the spiral nose cones are touching and make a ticking noise that I couldn’t hear from the cab. The other rows seem like the nose cones are aligned 90* from each other and don’t come close to hitting. The rolls have rectangular holes for the nose cones to slide into so it’s not possible that they are on wrong. Logic is telling me just align the shafts so that the spirals don’t touch but then it would be incorrect alignment according to the dealer. Anyone dealt with this issue before? TIA
