I agree but anyone I say that too seems to have a strong opinion against dollar coins.
Also, they should quit making coins with all the different backs. We should be minting coins to use, not encouraging people to collect. I wonder how much has been spent spent on designing and making dies for all of them.

You'd be surprised how much collectors directly pay the mint, usually more than face value for brand new coins, and the mints do sell collectable versions. |
