The profit on paper money more than makes up for the 1 cent they lose on each penny. Besides, the government is supposed to be about service, not profit.
Who said anything about govt being profitable???
We’re talking about eliminating govt waste to cut deficit spending. The US govt is 1000’s of miles from being in the black. Literally, the debt in $100 bills laid flat and stacked on top of each other would be over 24,000 miles tall. That’s the circumference of the earth.
